Dear parents and carers,
We come to the end of another half-term and once again we are all ready for a break before the final seven weeks of the year. It has been another positive and busy six weeks in school that has included a residential trip, the Year Six SATs, several 2CanLearn sessions, a year group assembly and a disco!
Football tournament
Today our girls' football team and the mixed football team have taken part in a tournament at the POSH ground. Both teams were very successful in the leagues this year and have represented the school with PRIDE. I think this year we may have had more sporting opportunities for children outside of normal school hours than ever before, and we plan to take advantage of these each year, giving lots of children the chance to take part in competitive and friendly games.
Road Safety Workshops
On Tuesday, Jenny Wright, the Road Safety Officer from Peterborough City Council ran some sessions for lots of year groups in school. They focussed on how to keep themselves and others safe when walking along streets and how to cross the roads carefully. Jenny will be back after half-term to continue her work with the school.
I hope you all have a wonderful half-term break and I look forward to seeing you all back in school on Monday 3rd June.
