Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring is beginning to show itself, longer days will soon be upon us and the weather is hopefully turning a little warmer. We have been able to reopen the use of our school field over recent weeks, giving the children more space to play over their break and lunchtimes, and long may this continue. We have a lot of things coming up to enjoy, so please do keep an eye on the dates highlighted in the calendar section of the newsletter and remember you can always book to come in for lunch with your child, if you wish. Just contact the School Office.
Honours Awards
Thank you to all those families who joined us to celebrate the End of Spring Honours awards this week. All recipients were thoroughly deserving, and we always enjoy sharing these positive memories with our OWPS community. The next Honours Award will be for ‘Taking Notice’ linked to our Five Ways to Wellbeing.
Open Day
We look forward to welcoming those of you who have signed up to come into school at the end of the day of Tuesday 25th March. This is an opportunity for you to have a look through your children’s books and teachers will be available if you wish to speak with them. The event will run until 4pm. If you have not signed up and still wish to join us, please liaise with the School Office team.
Uniform
As we near the end of our Spring Term and with the weather improving (hopefully), it is possible that many pupils will get rid of their winter uniform and begin to wear warmer weather alternatives such as; shorts and summer dresses. Please can we reiterate the importance of uniform being labelled (particularly jumpers and cardigans) and remind you that PE kit should be unbranded and in line with school expectations.
Have a lovely weekend.
