OWN Trust Professional Days
After the October half-term, OWN Trust held joint professional days for Teaching Assistants, Support Staff, and Teachers across the three schools. It was an opportunity for staff to meet their counterparts in the other schools, share good practice, undertake training, and hear from keynote speakers Steve Russell and Shonette Bason-Wood. OWN Trust Meetings
A range of meetings take place regularly across the OWN Trust as schools and those responsible for governance collaborate and work together in a variety of different areas. Highlights this term include:
- The Quality of Education Committee Meeting to look at end-of-year outcomes for all reportable stages of primary school, in which there was ‘a lot to celebrate.’
- The OWN Trust Development Session where Mary Abeyasekera gave an inspiring talk to local governors, trustees, and Trust associates about SEND Ordinary Available Provision.
- The Leadership Group Meeting which looked at a range of topics including school improvement and the new Teaching and Learning Strategy.
