The stalls will be spread over a wide area within the Cathedral to allow plenty of room for social distancing, and the familiar rules of wearing a face covering (like the little bird in our picture), sanitising hands on entry and exit, and following a strict one-way system will be in place.

Amongst the unique range of gifts and hand crafted items on sale will be jewellery, glassware, woven items using recycled materials, soya wax candles, appliqué cushions and other fabric items, as well as fudge, children’s books, Christmas decorations, bamboo socks and lots more.

The beautiful Cathedral interior is an inspiring space in which to do some Christmas shopping and this year, due to extended opening hours and timed entry to manage the flow of visitors, it promises to be a calming experience too, without a jostling crowd.
