On Tuesday 21st October, Sunita visited our school to help us to celebrate Diwali. Diwali is the Hindu festival of Light. Sunita worked with years 3 and 4 throughout the day, and the children had the opportunity to dress in traditional Hindu clothing and to learn dances and songs which told stories from the Vedas. Sunita shared the story of how Diwali came to be celebrated at the end of the day with a whole school assembly. Everyone very much enjoyed joining in with the characters in the story, the songs and the dance moves! Whole school participation!
