Mr Marks, the Headteacher, writes...

Dear parents and carers,

Finally, some weather that appears to match the current term and what a brilliant week for this to happen! We move into the final four weeks of the academic year on Monday and the Year Six play rehearsals are in full swing, and we continue to plan for September.

Sports Days

Thank you to everyone that came to school this week to support the children during our sports days. I think the Key Stage Two crowd may have been the biggest yet. Mr. Cowles and Mr. Nolan did a great job planning and preparing for the events, and they were both great fun. The children demonstrated lots of our learning tools, supported each other and fought hard to earn points for their houses. The races are always good fun and thank you to the parents who joined in. I hope there weren't any pulled muscles or bruised egos!

Violin Concert

On Monday, a group of children who are currently learning how to play the violin performed for their family members and the school. Mrs. Phillips, who was the Pandas' teacher last year, is their violin teacher and everyone was really impressed with their confident and tuneful playing! We were also impressed when Mrs. Phillips entertained the audience with her own piece of music at the end. We are hoping to offer more peripatetic music lessons next year.

I hope you all have a very enjoyable weekend and I will see you back in school on Monday!
