The mixed football team embarked on their first league fixture, away at Winyates. Having already played a friendly against Woodston, the team had already had an opportunity to work together in a match. The game was extremely cagey, with both teams having early chances. Winyates took the lead with a looping ball over the top.

Wistow responded really well in the second half and had all of the ball, creating lots of opportunities. The game ended 1-0 to Winyates, It just wasn’t Wistows day unfortunately. The team can hold their heads up high, they showed great perseverance second half and were credit to the school!
